Delta, Tigre 04 Painting

This painting is part of a series of paintings am currently painting. It was painted out doors at a location called Delta del Tigre in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Delta is a system of rivers and islands that is formed by the flows and sediments of rivers Paraná, Uruguay and Rio de la Plata. Delta is quite unique in the grandeur of its nature. I very much enjoy spending time at very vibrant Delta, which I have visited quite often in the last two years. When I am there, I sail on a little boat to find locations that I paint in very intense out door painting sessions. Part of the excitement of it, is to be able to concentrate perception to bring up an image, whilst struggling with being out-doors absolutely surrounded by wild-life and vibrant nature. The colours also change a lot according to season. It`s never the same. This is a rather small but beautiful painting. It was painted on MDF, previously primed and layered with Gesso.
