About The Artwork
I have always tried to put animals in the centre of what I do in art, and after a long time looking at the paintings of Francis Bacon, I wanted to free the dog which features in several of his works. The source image is a Eadweard Muybridge photograph I think. She hangs her head and pants, I imagine her repeating her walk for the cameras, her name now lost. The red circle she stands on offers her hope in her quest to leave the slavery of stillness, although I am still holding her frozen for my painting. All my work is made without animal products or by products and where I can from re used materials, about 90% in the case of this work. Please note that this painting is currently entered into the British Contemporary Painting Prize and so is unavailable for sale until November.

Drawing, performance, assemblage, film, collage, oil painting and the re-use of materials and objects is central to his work. Tim won the Ovalhouse prize at Chelsea College of Art, and Gloucester University prize at the Open West in 2015. He is a member of the committee of the Newlyn Society of Artists. Has exhibited in Berlin and Baku Zdonov in the Czech Republic and is represented by Daisy Laing, Penzance, Avalon in Marazion and Jupiter Newlyn.
