Dolce Queen was inspired by a the beauty of Medieval Queens and by the fashions of Dolce and Gabbana and Alexander McQueen that also are captured by this era's mystery and beauty. Singled out by world renowned art critic, Jerry Saltz of New York Magazine, this painting invokes a sense of modern and ancient timelessness. I wanted to capture the beauty and intrigue of the past and convey it through a contemporary format with elements of street art. The veiled Queen is studded with crystal gemstones that interact with light that cast a mood and interplay with the viewer's settings, time of day and emotion.
