About The Artwork
Due to the covid pandemic travelling was not possible. In stead of travelling with friends I was sitting alone in my garden. This painting is a result of loneliness and dreaming of travelling, but also of hope on better times. The painting is made on a light quality of canvas. When shops were closed during the lockdown this was ons I still had in my studio. I used paper of magazines on the canvas. There's is on quote in it: “I'm not lost for I know where I am. But however, where I am may be lost.” (In Dutch)
