Title: Everything in its place Medium: Acrylic on Canvas Everything in its place is an extension of my overall stacked, color-block design that I've been refining for the last couple years. This piece features my favorite restricted color pallette. I directed the direction and flow of this one to be somewhat mathematical, starting with underlying sinusoidal patterns and growing it outward from there. You can kind of pull the thread to see how it was built up if you start in the lower left and work outward to the right, spiraling back. This piece has some natural 'hidden pockets' where the warm colors from the orange were extracted out and clustered together to give it additional motion when viewed at distance. This one is just fun to look at and it's on display for my family to enjoy in our living room right now.. I'll take it down when someone orders it. For all of my design pieces I sign the back to avoid providing a fixed orientation.

Artist and Engineer In 2004, Michael graduated with degrees in computer science and mathematics and has held multiple positions in software and systems engineering and technical management. When he was in his 30s, just before COVID started, Michael had a few significant life events that changed his life, his priorities, and his future. He went through a divorce, found new romance, was sick and hospitalized for a few weeks twice. During the course of these events, Michael was able to find his footing and rediscover old interests, hobbies, and passions. Namely, it was time for him to get back into art and music. Michael was enrolled in college again but this time for Fine Arts, Visual Arts (and will be completing his degree in the Spring of 2024). The rest is still being written... :) Favorites: Charcoal, ink, acrylics
