"Fallen Petals" Painting

This original watercolor painting is entitled "Fallen Petals". Although this painting reminded me somewhat of a garden, It seemed to have both a feeling of life and hope, but also of a season ending or sweet sorrow of some kind. My paintings are not intentional, just spontaneous and evolving, so I don't really know what I might see in it until it is finished. Then again, the viewer usually sees something totally different than I do. Overall size of the painting is 15"w x 15h", painted on Fabriano 130 lb hot press watercolour paper. The watercolor is floated (mounted) on eggshell colored mat board with 3.5" border showing on all four sides. Total overall size w/mat board included is 18.5"w x 18.5"h .
