Basically inspired by Richard Serra. This is a artwork regarding the "time" concept of Shuzo Kuki, a Japanese philosopher. After experiencing Great East Japan Earthquake and the birth of my daughter, I often think about the connection of life, the flow of time and even "reincarnation" in my daily life, so his philosophy is familiar to me. After the earthquake, it is not only me who felt that human beings are one part of nature, that we are impotent, and that the death exists just next to us. People, animals and insects, myself as well, everybody will return to nature. Nature is eternal, but for those who have lives, time is finite, dead lives were handed over to new lives, I was thinking these such things, creating artworks.
