Frank Vincent Zappa, born December 21, 1940 in Baltimore and died December 4, 1993 in Los Angeles, is an American composer, musician, guitarist, filmmaker, producer and satirist. His works concern several distinct musical genres: rock, jazz and contemporary, with a link to musique concrète. Frank Zappa has also occasionally directed music films and videos, and designed album covers, which he has also produced in full. He has released more than sixty albums which he recorded, first with The Mothers of Invention and then, for a good part, under his own name. From his youth, he was interested in 20th century classical composers, including Edgard Varèse, Igor Stravinsky, Anton Webern, and the rhythm and blues of the 1950s. He wrote his first classical music compositions in high school, while playing drums in rhythm and blues bands. He eventually turned to the guitar, which remained his instrument of choice for most of his career. A self-taught singer-songwriter, Frank Zappa has opened himself to many musical influences: his music, made up of experiments in multiple musical styles, has proven difficult to classify into a distinct genre.

France
I am a passionate Dutch portraitist who lives and works in France (Blois). I paint personalities and people who touch me, inspired by their talent and vision of life. My paintings are a tribute to these artists of all kinds, authentic, pure and, in my opinion, talented. I started with figurative Portraits. Now I am experimenting with pop art and contrasting colors. I like to work in series: Forever 27, Jazz musicians and singers, Impressionist Painters, Pop Music Stars, French singing and musical artists. I am happy to share these portraits with you and invite you to discover them here.
