About The Artwork
I like to paint animals and strive to develop a personality for each subject. Shaggy dogs tend to pick up debris in their fur when they are playing outside. In this painting I imagine a lovable, exhausted sheep dog that has had playtime in the flower bed. He is crowned with blossoms and even a whirlygig. This is a textural, muted but colorful, painting intended to pull at the heart strings of the viewer.
