This work was inspired by a visit to the Tuscan small town Vinci near Firenze in Italy earlier in September 2019. I was driving around South-and West of Firenze and was impressed by the visit in Vinci, with exhibitions organised since 2019 is 500 years after the great multiart master's death. I started very abstract using colors in raw sienna, orange and organising it as an amphibious craft with shaped weels. Later I reworked the entire motive and added the castle and tower, based on a fotograph from the tower. My focus was on capturing the italien light, and broadcasting a sense of Leonardo da Vinci vision in the final artwork, with the renaiesance symbols almost smiling like another Mona Lisa...

I am a Danish hydrologist currently working as a principal investigator and researcher at the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland at Øster Voldgade 10, 1350 in Copenhagen (working in close cooperation with Copenhagen University institute for geology and geography). I am known for my research in the field of hydrogeology, with a focus on groundwater resources and their management, as well as the impact of climate change on groundwater systems. I have published many papers in the international scientific journals, and I am also a member of several scientific organisations.
