How About Today Painting

It appears that I'm in a 'blue' stage of painting. Not in the sense of feeling melancholy, but rather that I'm simply being drawn to blue hues and various blue's from my tubes. Currently, it is my 'go-to'. I am an Abstract Expressionist who generally paints in bold cool and warm colors using variations of shapes, lines, and gestures. They may range from thin to broad strokes, even in my pencil or charcoal mark-making process. There isn't any pencil or charcoal in this particular piece. This artwork was created with acrylic paints, including blue, red, gray, and white. Gesso was applied as a primer and may appear within the painting. It is finished with a gloss varnish. It is wired and ready to hang upon arrival. It is signed on the front and back, and it is dated. It doesn't have a frame. Feel free to choose a floating frame for the piece. The sides are painted white. I'd like the viewer to experience this new work from me - the second in this particular series, as deciduous branches sprouting off from my inner self. A newer, more evolved sense of myself. An expansion, growth, and an artist without fear of experimenting. What have I to lose with this expression? Simply nothing. My awakening from 2020 has made me feel uninhibited. I'm filled with adventure and a zest for newness. I look forward to delving into more gestural pieces and seeing where it arrives.
