Her work is often described as a lifestyle as opposed to simply a painting. Emelie continues to learn and evolve with each new collection of work, focusing her time on reading, listening to podcasts and TEDtalks, practicing meditation and prioritising time outdoors. Emelie's powerful urban art inspired paintings are thoughtfully built up with layers of acrylic, spray paint, coloured leaf, resin glitter and vibrant colours. The fragmented portraits reveal much about her dreamlike nature, detailing the conflict of her deepest vulnerabilities alongside her unwavering faith in healing and self-love. Championing mental health charities such as the Samaritans and working closely with various charities across the country, Emelie considers it a part of her purpose to raise awareness and funds for organisations that have either personally helped her or are kindly brought to her attention.
