She graduated with a BFA in Communication Design from Parsons the New School for Design in New York. Kanny channels her experiences in the natural world and from introspection. She started painting detailed oil landscapes and skyscapes during her residency at Schoolhouse Studios (Melbourne, Australia) in 2019, where she developed her signature circular skyscapes. She is currently painting in Iceland. Her work has been exhibited in Australia, USA and Hong Kong, and has been collected in Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Singapore, UK, USA.
