Where does the essence of an artists mark making come from. How rooted is it in genetics, background or other influences. This piece is an exploration of a natural mark making gesture and the physicality involved in its creation. Using fluid acrylic paint on raw canvas allows paint to flow as if alive and containing some wisdom beyond the artists control. Because the paint is absorbed into the canvas rather than sitting on its surface, the painting powerfully changes in different lighting settings and is most beautifully appreciated in a natural light or lit with a full spectrum system. This painting can be sent stretched or unstretched which will affect the shipping price depending on your destination.
