This piece is inspired by the beauty and Nostalgia of the classic cartoon character "Jessica Rabbit", Roger Rabbit's wife who was created for the classic book, "Who censored Roger Rabbit". The burst of colors and light offer the viewer a glimpse into what could be possibly be depicted as a boy's first crush. As timeless as she is, nothin stops a "Siren" from keeping current with new fashion trends as she sports her new Coco Chanel purse and her Christian Louboutin red bottoms. This piece has a lot of texture beneath the epoxy and very few brush strokes, preserving the vibrancy of the color. It is finished with a thick coat of Epoxy Resin giving it a smooth surface above all of its texture which creates even deeper hues as it helps to preserve the piece for generations to come! My name is Joseph Vitale and I was born on August 8, 1985. I grew up in Bayport New York and have moved down to Florida where I now work in my studio as a full-time artist. I create anything and everything that inspires me, moves me, or sometimes provides as subtle as a particular feeling. All of these things are interesting to me. Once I complete a piece I hope that it has the power to impact the viewer in some way. I stopped painting for many years and it was not until I was incarcerated that I begin to create art again.
