About The Artwork

I was inspired in the ancient technique of kintsugi to do this artwork. I think it is interesting how in ceramic pieces are repaired with gold in kintsugi. They are not the same as they were in the beginning, they are different because they suffered, they were broken, they have been destroyed, but someone repaired them with gold and they can be useful again and they gained a new beauty too. I think it is a good metaphor about how people can be broken but can be repaired and beautiful again with their scars. My biggest scar is what I have suffered in my career and I represented it in this artwork. Artwork exhibited in Exposición Internacional “Broken mirrors”. Milostka Center for Exhibitions, Culturally Arts Collective, Texas, Estados Unidos, 10 de junio al 22 de Julio de 2022.

Born 1st July 1984, City of Buenos Aires. I am a self taught artist practice art therapy as a type of healing. Honorary Doctorate 2022, The Queen Foundation for Cultures and Arts around the World, Professor Muhammad Al-Hawary director, 15th january 2023, Egypt. What I tell in my work is my experience of pain after having abandoned my previous career because of the harassment of my colleagues. That harassment was moral and sexual. That experience changed me a lot since I began to suffer from post-traumatic stress syndrome. I started painting on the recommendation of my therapist. My works speak of my years of suffering. They also talk about my recovery as a person and as a woman. My artworks speak about my faith, which also helped me in this process. My inspiration comes from faith, the beauty, and dignity of women, of nature, from art itself.
