About The Artwork
The artwork was painted at the end of 2016 for the 750th anniversary of Giotto's birth (1267), and included in the commemorative book "Giotto, la casa, Colle di Vespignano" (Giotto, the birth house, Vespignano's Hill), published in 2017 by the local art association 'Associazione dalle terre di Giotto e dell'Angelico' of which I am a member. The artwork depicts the view from a Giotto's birth house window with paints and palette. From the window, you can see the remains of the ancient 'Torre millenaria' (millenary tower) with a circular base. Unframed finest oil painting on wooden fiberboard panel. Have two coats of gloss protection varnish, unframed. It is possible to sell the artwork together with the custom-made wooden frame for this painting. I was born in a small old town in northwestern Russia. After graduation I moved to Moscow, where worked in advertising as a graphic designer. Increasingly in love with art and painting, I started studying art history at the Moscow University. After several years of life between Moscow and Italy I finally moved at Florence with my family. Now I live and work in Tuscany, at small town near Florence. What I see around inspires me to paint. Tuscan and not only landscapes, architecture, people, psychology, the human body. I like to change the technique and the materials of painting. I usually have some work started and every day I work with what I’m more attracted to. Sometimes the process is rather chaotic.
