She simply had to be noticed, and I simply had to paint her. She makes a statement no matter what room she is in. Everyone knows someone like this. Part of my urban portrait series using acrylic, oil and resin on canvas. The 60 x 40 painting has a rich, tactile surface with conspicuous ridges that accentuate the physicality of paint and markings. Background color is continued around the edges of the gallery wrapped canvas. ***Currently on exhibit at the Mountain View Performing Arts Center. ***
