The Sun casts its fire upon this bank of cloud as it sets below the horizon.Inspired by sunsets I'd seen at sea, I want this painting to remind the viewer of the warmth of a summer day, still heating the sand and skin, as the sun lowers behind distant clouds to give a cooling breath to the air. I used 3 sittings to create this, using various techniques to keep a crisp edge to the clouds as a stark contrast to the melting sea and sky.
