This, of course, pro love. I ought to bear my existence And burn to be… Art helps recollect things you have never seen and make generalizations not made in everyday life. Imagination forms creative process. Ink and pen graphics gives sharpness and penetration, water colors bring tenderness and pleasure, because the touch of a brush and paint to the paper is different from one of a pen and ink. So it turns to be like working in different styles, but they share the property of being both real and emotional. The idea to make several works which won’t be shouting but speaking in a quiet voice came around the middle or end of 2017. Waiting for a miracle was the background of 2018. Clear melancholy and tender memoires invited to choose toned paper and many glimmering colors, the combinations of pearl and gold. The main point was not to overload the sheet with events. Why do we all shout? Why can’t we whisper? The tempo should be found – slower than usual, -- and also the proper sound. Sibelius, Sad Waltz – this is my sound. The right sound – the right place. Being at right place is happiness. Here graphic touches are born. Ink, brush or pencil. The touch of a brush is always sensual, the one of a pencil – sensible. The state where sense is mixed with reason also brought to life the texts dictated by subconscious. The print where lines overlap and press one another, excitement and flows of words, like flows of tears. Walls of letters. Falling curtains of words. Freezing charm of tender touches. It is like paint running down the brush, or hand running along a dear hand drawing there the notes of a sad waltz. The series of works both similar and different like drops of water actually describe one essential thing. The figures of little men pretend jumping or talking, but they all are about the same. Sweet melancholy, eyes looking at one point, memoires, smiles, tears, sounds from the past, from the unforgettable which is clearer than the present. State between sleeping and awakening, the lightness of a hand, eye frightened and shy, someone standing still in front of the window. White paper – white paint, white tablecloth – white day, white morning – white life. White shade. White shadow. You.
