One morning I ran into a friend getting coffee. He asked if I had ever been to the Long Island Bar in Brooklyn. I had not, so he recommended I meet him there later in the day. It was a good excuse to get out of my neighborhood and I had not been to the area in years. When I met him along with his coworker, they had already ordered burgers for us three. We chatted over our dinner and stayed for more drinks as the sun went down.
