All parts of the lotus are masterpieces by itself. Flower… It is the most admired part of
the lotus. However, look at the stem, which graciously emerges from the water. It
is a symbol of elegance and graciosity. Leaves… In the fall, leaves are bending and
drooping to the water, reflecting and creating fantastic shapes.

About The Artwork

As an artist, I find inspiration in the elegant structure and lines of fresh and dry lotus leaves. The way they gracefully rise above the water's surface, unfazed by the mud and dirt below, reminds them to stay grounded yet reach for the sky. Their natural bright green color palette and the brownish tones of dry leaves are a breath of fresh air and invoke feelings of renewal and growth. I often incorporate these elements into my artwork through the use of fluid lines, bold, vibrant hues, and the elegant and delicate lines of dry lotus leaves. Observing the way light dances across the surface of a lotus leaf, highlighting its intricate veins and ripples, is a constant source of inspiration for my work. All parts of the lotus are masterpieces by itself. Flower… It is the most admired part of the lotus. However, look at the stem, which graciously emerges from the water. It is a symbol of elegance and graciosity. Leaves… In the fall, leaves bend and hang to the water, reflecting and creating fantastic shapes. The lotus leaf serves as a reminder to always strive for beauty and grace in the face of adversity. Original oil painting stretched on the wooden bar, gallery-wrapped, ready to hang.
