About The Artwork
When I was working in Bima, West Nusa Tenggara, the neighborhood where I lived was surrounded by fishponds. Every lunchtime, I would hear a loud sound like a heavy object hitting the water coming from the fishponds. At first, I thought the sound came from the fish owner cleaning the pond. It was only when the sound became a regular occurrence that I realized it was a monitor lizard hunting for lunch.
