About The Artwork
This original abstract mixed media painting is titled "Monochromatic Moon". I love the moons mysterious quality and wanted to capture it's essence in this piece. I used palette knives to build up the moons texture, metallic silver and gold ink to capture an abstract interpretation of the clouds and glowing stars in the night sky, with a modern geometric pattern in shades, tints and tones of blue, to achieve a monochromatic color scheme which gives this painting a contemporary feel. My name is Alexandra Romano, I am an artist living and working in Toronto, Canada.
