Living by the coast has been a life inspired by the ever changing ocean. I am fascinated by the light playing on the water and how it changes from the horizon to the shore, many shades of blues. The artwork is textured so it captures light and gives the impression of sunlight on the seas surface. This artwork has been professionally framed, it is ready to hang in a white contemporary wooden float frame. The measurements of the frame therefore are 24x24 by 3.5cm. I am a Brighton based contemporary artist, constantly inspired by the ever changing sea and the stunning South Downs. In 2022 I exhibited and sold work in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 22. I have also just been selected to exhibit at Londons prestigious Mall Gallery from Nov 17-26 ‘23. I spend hours making observational sketches and photos that results in an intense emotional study of light and texture. Prior to becoming a full time artist I had a long career in fashion and textile design. I ran a large London design studio producing garments for all of the major high street companies.
