"After graduating from primary school in the village, I continued my studies at the twentieth school of the Kyiv South-Western Railway in Kamyanets-Podilsky. It was the best school in the city with top-class teachers. I studied well. He was a member of the editorial board of the school newspaper "Eureka", which consisted of four sheets of paper measuring 60x80 each. It was an extraordinary event at school when the next issue of this newspaper was published. It published various articles, stories, poems, drawings and friendly cartoons about teachers and principals. The amateur art of the school was in great demand among students. I tried to do the homework I was given in class, as I had housework to do at home. I studied in the second shift. The boiler room of the fruit and vegetable factory served us for an hour. At three o'clock in the afternoon she gave a beep that could be heard for several kilometers. It was time to go to school. We had to walk to school for about three kilometers and return in the dark. Everyone took learning seriously and seriously with great responsibility. We lived in poverty, especially those whose parents did not return from the war. And the only way out of the abyss of poverty was education, which allowed to get a professional education and gain a significant place in society. It was a difficult incentive! »
