About The Artwork

The primary colors in this abstract are "Hopeful" by Sherwin Williams and "Pure Turquoise" by Behr. The inspiration behind this painting came from a song by Noah Cyrus. The color choices were bold and subtle which I feel accurately represents the flow of the song it was painted to and named after. Other colors in the piece are multi-colored and range from: black, hot pink, orange, acid green, dark purple, magenta, sea foam green, light blue and teal. Materials used: spray paint, household paint, acrylic, pencil, marker and oil pastel. Sides are painted black. You can hang this piece vertically or horizontally so if you have a preference please let me know prior to shipping. Finished with a high quality UV varnish.

I am a self-taught artist born and raised in Denver, Colorado. I discovered painting in my twenties as a means to calm my “unquiet mind” and to bring myself joy and inner peace. Today, painting is an essential part of my life and who I am as an individual. My Inspiration comes from life and all that it brings emotionally, spiritually and physically. My Series have been inspired through personal inner struggles and successes as well as my journey in this lifetime. I would say my work comes from a place of intuition and emotion. There are times I will be reading or reflecting and a brief vision of a painting will come to me and from there it’s my inner emotion that brings it to life on the canvas. Once I start a painting the music that I listen too amplifies that emotion which works its way onto the canvas. With each painting I listen to a particular song over and over as I paint and name the piece after that song title. I have had many individuals who have purchased my paintings ask for the name and musical artist who I painted the piece to. I have been told from several collectors that this has created a deeper emotional connection to the painting. My artistic style consists primarily of Mixed Media and Abstract mediums. I love to experiment with various mediums, texture and paint. I use acrylic, fabric, tissue paper, mesh, spray paint, ink, oil pastel, chalk and other mediums.
