About The Artwork
This piece was painted with a limited pallet to create a color harmony. The figure and the donkey color value contrast with the white of the Greek buildings. The blue of the Mediterranean sky also create a contrast providing depth in the piece. Bronwen Jones is a painter of memories. Every painting is a story of a place, person or event that has touched her life. She works from her home studio in Centennial, Colorado, painting from her travels both locally and abroad. She has taken workshops from many nationally- known artists and enjoys learning and experimenting with new techniques. Bronwen likes to pay special attention to unusual points of view and paints from her own photos. Light and shadow are a key element in all of her work. She looks for interesting subjects to incorporate the strong contrast of light and shadow.
