Acrylic mix with grain stalks, marble powder, Rügen chalk, Japanese paper, nails from my sculpture wood. nail rock this picture has a really long history. It hung in my exhibition in Tschenglsburg in Vinschgau/Italy exactly 10 years ago. The title was "Karl, our grain is rising", that's a completely different story. Since then, this picture has repeatedly inspired me to paint over it, and to create new titles and intentions. Maybe the nails express how difficult the process of finding this finish version was. You got into this completely unconsciously.

Germany
Guenter Rauch is a German artist. his works move between sculpture, drawings, painting and outdoor art projects and take a critical look at the relationships between humans and nature. I was born in the year one after the great war (1946) and have largely lived and worked in and near Kempten im Allgäu, Bavaria. I came to professional art late. 1997 the first exhibition of paintings and objects. Numerous exhibitions with paintings and drawings followed. From 2009 on, turning to outdoor / landart projects with art trails and (peace) installations. Start of the project "PORTA ALPINAE Open the door to another world". A wooden gate symbolizes the transition to another world. 30 installations on German, Austrian, Swiss and Italian mountains generate great media interest. Several documentaries in large TV formats and international press reports. Always accompanying the painting, drawings and objects.
