About The Artwork

“Everything I know about my Light, was taught to me by my Darkness”. The shadow on the water behind the figure in the center represents fears, doubts, lack of self-confidence and lack of faith in the future. The coming wave or the cloud is a chain of emotionally impressive events that can throw a person off balance. This approach is inevitable, all that remains is to accept it. The abstraction at the top of the painting (the light lines on the blue background) are variants of a combination of circumstances, possible intersections and collisions; they are inaccessible and beyond the complete control of a person. The emotional coloring of the coming wave of current and upcoming events depends on the attitude towards them. You can see a gentle, airy, loving cloud that will lift you with love and carry you to the fulfillment of your dreams. You can see a destructive, unknown, threatening force that has placed you in a trap from which there is no way out. Because of this, the picture can be called dual and ambiguous; everyone will see in it what is relevant to him now. The painting says: “Don’t be afraid. You are surrounded by care. You are heard. Trust and enter into the flow of life.” Creating this work was an amazingly therapeutic process, during which I became even more aware of the cause-and-effect relationships of my deep personal processes and, as a result, found healing peace and sincere joy in the moment in which I find myself now.

As a Kyrgyz woman from Central Asia, in an environment of absurd limitations and despotic authority, I find myself fighting for the right of self-expression. I capture moments, feelings and situations. My works are different in terms of the mood and technique, but utterly similar in one thing: they all tell a story of how it is important to be honest with yourself, especially when you live in an environment which pays no attention to art and artists, and at best wants to enroll you for entertainment or propaganda.   I am deeply interested in studying psychological aspects, social issues, and how our universe is structured. I believe in certain things that science cannot explain yet. My artworks are a reflection on a variety of topics, from societal injustice and existential contemplations on life and death to simple admiration of the nature around us. As a highly sensitive person, I explore different aspects of the world through the observation of feelings. For me art is spontaneity and endless adventure.
