Enrique Pichardo's Nupcias is a black and white painting that captures a wedding, which is a pretext for celebration and joy - elements that the Maestro Pichardo enjoys reflecting in his works. Full of detail and textures, the work conveys a moment shared by a couple portrayed in this abstract scene full of elegance and harmonious brushstrokes. Painted in acrylic on canvas, it measures 150 x 100 cm. His lines evoke tales of great artists such as Joan Miró, Pablo Picasso, Piet Mondrian, Paul Klee, Jackson Pollock, José Manuel Merello, Juan Gris and Albert Gleizes. Being the style of the unique master, with a mixture of everything that he defines as Naif. With this painting, Enrique Pichardo reflects his own life - one of the sources of inspiration and support for him is family. In some cultures, marriage marks the beginning of this stage, where life is lived in companionship. Here, we see the start of that journey through the artist's eyes. Enrique Pichardo is a renowned exponent of contemporary Mexican expressionism. For Pichardo, painting is about feeling illuminated from within, filled with light. With each brushstroke, he feels alive and desires to share and connect with life itself. The Naif Expressionism of his work connects him to his inner child - that part of him which takes up the paintbrush and plays with strokes and colors. This is what characterizes Pichardo and makes him admired in countries across Europe as well as his native Mexico, where he has exhibited his work widely.

Mexico
The Mexican plastic artist, Enrique Pichardo, has more than 30 years of experience as a painter. His technique and style combine artistic influences from other countries with the traditional Mexican influence. In his own words, he defines his art as naive expressionism. The plastic work of Enrique Pichardo has more than one aspect. On the one hand, he creates works that are densely populated with shapes, figures, and colors. On the other hand, he has abstracted urban landscapes with a neutral color palette that recreates everyday situations. However, the special characteristic that maintains the cohesion of all his pieces is the conviction of approaching art through a return to his childhood and his first traces. Paint like a child, paint with more expression than technique, paint with feeling over technique. The painter seeks the skillful strokes of his inner child to carry out each of his pieces.
