The Pacific Ocean and cliffs of dark black and red lava rock all around where I live inspired this work. I wanted to make a simplified seascape to convey more the feeling of the place rather than the exact outlines of rocks. I also intend to give it a sense of time and history through the layers that have been drawn, scraped, and altered.
