Tras la reflexión de lo que iba a ser la vida durante la pandemia, pensé que las medidas de precaución también afectarían a las relaciones sexuales. Por eso ironicé con el concepto de tener sexo con mascarilla, algo que me resulta un poco incongruente. Tras pintar las figuras me acordé de un cuadro de Egon Shiele de una pareja de amantes, eso me hizo plantearme el poner esas sábanas tan expresionistas que enfatizan la escena. After reflecting on what life was going to be like during the pandemic, I thought that precautionary measures would also affect to sexual relatioinship. That's why I ironed with the concept of having sex with a mask, something that I find a little incongruous. To paint the figures I remembered a picture of Egon Shiele of a couple of lovers, that made me consider putting those sheets that emphasize the scene.

My name is Ángeles Comba Santonja, and I come from a family of Spanish well known painters. From the famous painter Eduardo Rosales, important Spanish painter in the 19th century; with a room dedicated to him in the Prado Museum, in all generations there has been an artist. I consider myself a very curious and restless person, what art needs like eating. I express my creativity in different ways: musically through the saxophone, an instrument that I have been playing for many years; with photography, what is an activity that allows me to capture the beauty of what I observe at any time and of course with painting and drawing, as it might be seen here. In both photography and painting, the main interest is in nature. My painting is figurative, and they say that I have a harmonious and sober palette, although if the subject requires it I can use more vivid and contrasting colors.
