(Paying homage to the ancient culture that I was born into). Patina. The word itself resonates with prized antiquity and beauty. The patina effect is my way of depicting the ancientness of a culture that I was born into, a culture still alive and throbbing as it continues to evolve over the ages,while still keeping it’s core philosophy alive. And through the passages of time, like patina, this culture simply gets more beautiful and more valuable despite various complexities that arise due to different interpretations or different levels of understanding, especially in the current socio-political scenario. At it’s core however, the deep rooted philosophy is simple- Unity within Duality, Peace despite Strife,Inclusiveness over Divisiveness and Expansive rather then Restrictive.
