Peaceful Sol is a square, abstracted landscape painting, measuring 36 x 36″ / 91 x 91 cm. It was painted mostly with my non-dominant hand while I regain mobility and stamina in my dominant “painting” hand and arm. The colors are mostly blue, teal and earth tones. And I love the richness and depth achieved here. The further away you are from it, the more apparent the background river is with all these lines interconnecting with each other. There are washes of color over some drips, that give a peaceful, surreal feel to it. From my series "crossing the Lines", which was painted while undergoing treatment for breast cancer. The painting continues onto the sides and is signed front and back. It will arrive ready to hang and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. This painting, like all the others in this “Crossing the Lines” series, features intersecting lines of paint drips. Giving it an almost plaid appearance at first glance. Arrives ready to hang. Signed front and en verso, and includes a signed certificate of authenticity.

Globally collected artist Deb Breton is an abstract expressionist artist living & working in Northern California, U.S. Hi, I’m Deb, In school, I was that quirky kid who was always drawing during English Literature class, or backstage painting sets for the Drama Department. At the top of my “career,” I was an artist for notable clients Nestle, Warner Brothers, and the Dali Museum. But I was not happy with the corporate hustle. So, I picked up woodturning, which eventually led me full circle back to painting. You will find me in my studio working with acrylics, oils, ink, and spray paint. My tools are oftentimes things like sponges, flowers, branches, and squeegees. I tend to break many of the rules that I was taught in art. But the hardest thing for me to learn was how to step out of my own way and let creativity flow. My art reflects my scattered mind —inspired by life, nature, the universe and sometimes even the beat of my playlist. It is extremely difficult for me to stay on script—my ADHD ensures that. Luckily, I find peace and calm in painting. Art is a reminder for us to honor our authentic selves in a world that often tries to box us in.
