About The Artwork

philosophical poison is about self-forgiveness. We see a snake that represents wisdom, but at the same time I use the allegory of the tree of good and evil, which is broken due to the size of this snake, characters and white python are repeated in my paintings, but in all paintings their content is contextual, thus I say that there is not only good and bad in the world and everything is much more complicated , as hard as it is to forgive one's enemy in oneself, admit one's mistake and find the key to forgive one's self, . Because most people are haunted by the feeling of guilt, then we build constructions to protect ourselves from it and we lose the simple simplicity that we should have had from the beginning as a child. A person who is not a religious teacher, but a scholar, seems to be calling a confession from the snake. It is not visible in the picture, but the snake is drinking water from a bowl with the inscription "Know thyself". Defeat of one's internal enemy is possible only through self-knowledge, because if we know our self well, we will be able to choose the right path and forgive ourselves, but it is philosophically painful to think, can we really forgive ourselves?

My name is Michael Makharadze. I was born in July 12, 1994. In 2012 graduated from St. Tbel Abuserisdze Gymnasium. In 2012-2018 I studied philosophy at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. I am a self-taught artist. The main theme of my paintings is human being and everything connected to humanity or mankind. For me the human being has the highest value. In my art I explore the emotions and ideas that form the symbolic world around us. The world that we have created by ourselves. In essence, I aspire to create a story, the story is often ambiguous or have several interpretations between the preface of history and its further development’s perspectives In my paintings, due to the ending is not revealed or "discovered," the viewer completes the story of the painting on his or her own imagination, But the title and symbolism tell us what might be going on in the end the story of the painting. For me art is a way to express ourselves, to explore the world, to immerse ourselves and to discover something new in us and in the world all of the time, but there is always something unknown that plays with our mind and imagination, it’s so beautiful.
