Both her parents were born to poor Italian immigrants not afraid of hard work and instilled the ethic of accomplishment through doing for yourself. So she read, dreamed and drew horses, and worked hard, hoping for the day she would have her own horse. Susan does many kinds of art but her passion is equine art that showcases the romance and power that is the horse. She also loves and owns many cats and a couple of dogs who also like cats! Her art ranges from realistic to abstract and whimsical. She works in pencil, colored pencil, watercolor and acrylic paints. And yes, that dream did come true.
