About The Artwork

This piece is inspired by The Queltehue: A bird that lives in Chile (South America) and makes a unique sound forecasting the rain. The name "Queltehue" is in Mapuche language and it means "perspicacity" due to the ability of forecasting rain and innminent threat or danger. That perception is the energy that I wanted to express in this painting.

Artist based in La Herradura, Coquimbo, Chile. Architect, Musician, and Professional Visual Artist since 2009. “I conceive art as a magnifying glass to use in this world. I use it to see things inside the consciousness, in order to see how they grow, move and change. I celebrate this imaginative field that leads where beauty lives. Beauty is something to be discovered...always waiting to be invited to dance, and if she appears, she'll be there very little time; always needed somewhere else. To me, painting is this intimate and personal expression that is translated to the public space.”
