Painting of Rabbi Ovadiya Yosef This is a painting of one of the most iconic Rabbinical leaders of our time. The iconic image of him sitting in his chair with his books open in front of him immersed in his learning is full of inspiration to all who look upon it. His presence in the painting brings light into the heart of all that look at it. One of the greatest Sephardic halakhic authorities and author of numerous books, Rabbi Ovadia Yosef served as the Sephardic Chief Rabbi from 1973 to 1983. He was the founder and leader of the Council of Torah Sages. Throughout his life, he dedicated himself to the study of the Torah and the dissemination of Torah knowledge, actively traveling from city to city and village to village. He earned the esteem of our Sephardic brethren, successfully restoring honor to its former glory. I painted his portrait from a photograph taken towards the end of his life, capturing his artistic essence. Even then, he did not cease his sacred Torah study
