About The Artwork
Railroad is a minimalist work where I venture into large circular forms. It is geometric abstract style. With large black spots that open with wide holes that give me a feeling of darkness and light. It's acrylic and casein glue with charcoal. I used the line, the color and the irregular primary forms looking for a balanced and minimalist composition based on 4 colors: black, yellow, gray as balance and the treated background of cotton duck canvas in beige. It is signed and delivered with a certificate of authenticity.

Annabel Andrews was born in the Isle of Wight in 1940 now lives and works in El Escorial near Madrid Spain, where the colour, light and volumes of the mountains inspire her work. As also her friendship with the late Spanish artists Pablo Palazuelo and Jose Guerrero. By preparing her own canvases with home made casein glue base and zinc white the work is light and luminous ready for applying acrylic colours.
