Rainstorm Painting

I was born in Germany and raised in the UK. I draw inspiration by other contemporary women artists such as Paula Rego, Susan Rothenberg and Sophie Ryder and many more. I love working with oils and acrylics on canvas, paper and board. I enjoy using them as they are vibrant and interesting to apply due to their translucency, fluency and expression of paint. I have been trained over the years by other successful working artists who have had training through the Royal College of Art and have won the Jerwood painting prize. I hold a BA Hons in Fine Art Painting and have painted since a little girl. Both humans and animals act as metaphors for deeper meaning and symbols. The images take on dreamlike, magical and childlike quality in which they create a dialogue and story on the picture surface. Paintings are deliberately large for figures and images to leap off the walls impressing emotions and intriguing the viewer. I am making art with childlike freedom and wonder. Partnering in translating heaven into language that carries presence and power.
