"Rebel Yell" a White wedding punk rocker Billy F*cking Idol Painting

"Rebel Yell" One of the greatest punk rockers of all time Billy Fkn Idol. Hand signed by Billy himself at the Atlanta Tabernacle. Like millions of others, Lee is a huge fan of the British Rocker and wanted to attempt a fine art oil piece in a very large scale. The entire painting was filmed and made into a short time-lapse which is worth watching. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jSemM1CH6IQ In the film you will see Lee use classical oil paints applied with various sized paint brushes over a five day period. Lee's amazing ability to blend oil paint so fine there are no edges. Lee prefers to work oil while they are wet or within 4-7 days max. Then the drying process must take place for two weeks then additional varnish washes and touch ups can be effective. Billy signed this piece after the show backstage in front of his dressing room. With an invitation from a member of the crew, Lee took the painting backstage after the show and while hanging out the other members of the band, Billy saw the painting from his dressing room. Billy was actually laid out on the couch trying to catch his breath after a rocking show. He popped his head up and focused his eyes, kind of gave them a rub and jumped up grabbing his jacket. He came out and his tour manager, a German type, said "This is the best painting of Billy we have see!" A serious statement which says it all.
