REBIRTH Painting

Artwork "REBIRTH" has a really special meaning behind it. Most of the paintings are created by using my positive energy, thoughts and experience, but this time i used the bitter sweet feeling. Once the war in Ukraine had started, we got a message that there are lot of dogs who need help to get out of the country. So after discussing risks of the road, we decided to go ahead and take this risky journey . We drove 12 hrs until the Ukraine's border, collected the dog and drove 12hrs back. Fast forward - after seeing what this dog had been through , covered with scars, we decided we did not want him to ever experience that again and we were about to adopt him. But things change so fast, and as much as we wanted to keep him, we couldn't , and we had to make this hard decision to give him away to his new loving parents. This has been one of the most heartbreaking decisions we have ever had to make and for the first time i used this sorrow to make a painting . At the end it is a bitter sweet painting - featuring a dog, whome we have given a second life. A life without pain or betrayal. We let him rebirth.
