About The Artwork

40 x 40 cm Acrylic/paper/plastic on canvas Signed front and back. - To create this painting I started from the theme of the contest, that is the reuse of recycled materials that I found inside the Mystery Box of Mail Boxes Etc and from their slogan #PeoplePossible. The protagonist is a black woman with afro hair, created using cardboard straw to give volume and shape to the curls. She also wears other recyled elements, such as a hair band made using gift wrapping paper in fabric colors and sunglasses and a necklace created from wrapping paper. I chose women as the protagonist to represent the responsibility of all men on Earth to recycle and reuse plastic, paper, etc. to save the environment and the animals that live there (PeoplePossible). In the background, an aquarium with some fish that suffer from the excessive amount of waste in the seas making them almost fake, unrecognizable and trapped. In the paper windows, there are the fish of the "future" the ones we would like there to be in the future, therefore healthy, alive, free and in a sea without waste. A goldfish comes out of the "future" box and plunges into the plastic sea, going from colorful and alive to paper and unrecognizable. On the MBE sleeve I wrote the title of the work "Recycle and Reuse" and under it a yellow and orange butterfly that recalls the colors of the fish in the aquarium, represents the freedom and life that animals will have if you recycle and reuse all materials as possible as we can. With this painting I gave a second life to the materials I had available but in everyday life each of us should always try to reuse instead of throwing away immediately without thinking about it.

I'm from Milan, I've loved art since I was a child. My academic background and the various courses I have attended have enriched my way of drawing and painting but it is as if it has always been within me. Now I have made this great passion my job, and I try to convey emotions through my paintings between colors, animals, landscapes and photographs that I collect in my travels and transform them into paintings. I exhibit my paintings in some locations in Milan, Montecarlo, Cannes, Switzerland, Miami, Mykonos, Sardinia and Mexico in Tulum Cancun and Playa del Carmen.
