"Red Square in Blue Space" is one of 8 painting-series of the 'Blue and Red' collection. The painting depicts the phenomenon of the lack of full control over the shaping of the surrounding reality. The intentions and intentions of the authors of artistic works, but also, in a broader sense, of the animators of cultural, social or political events are subject to their control only to a certain extent. The rest of the process slips away and begins to 'live its own life' sometimes taking unexpected forms and shapes. The artist's use of the square as one of the most universal geometric figures and the subsequent construction of tension between the dominant central element and the contrasting periphery is a vivid illustration of the conscious process of creating the work. Another equally important stage is the mutual permeation, in an unexpected and self-contained way, of the edges of the interface between the two planes, which determines the final shape of the work as a result of the artist's influence and the consequences of his decisions, which are already directly independent of him. To create the pattern, the artist used the acrylic technique in the primary colours of red and blue on raw cotton canvas measuring 47.2"width x 47.2" height x 1.5" depth (120cmx120cmx4cm). The painting is stretched on wooden stretcher, ready to hang.
