This is a painting created by using wool fibres as my “paint” and a process of hand needle felting and traditional wet felting. The lines and pathways of the wool fibres in this work, as they cross and intersect, remind us of life’s many pathways, byways and directions. This work comes temporarily mounted on heavyweight fine art card ready for professional mounting or framing, and is posted rolled up in a sturdy cardboard tube.

I am a textile artist creating abstract art works for the wall and art to wear in the form of unique "mini sculptures" art jewellery. I work with both soft fibres as well as silver and other metal wire. My wool “paintings” are created with pure wool and other natural fibres using a process of hand needle felting and traditional wet felting. And in my unique art jewellery miniature sculptures I use a technique of hand weaving and coiling of the wires to create interesting one of a kind 3 dimensional designs. Currently living close to the sea and green hills of beautiful South Devon, England, I draw much of my inspiration from nature’s beauty. Whilst on visits to dynamic cities I am also inspired by the buzz of energy of all the people, connections and interconnections of our one humanity, and the architecture and spaces we create. I am passionate about colour, pattern, form and texture and am constantly inspired to play with these elements in my abstract art, designs and making. A common theme in many of my works is an exploration of trajectories, travels, crossroads, lines and pathways, a sense of movement and interconnections. ART is Life is ART!
