Renaissnce mind Painting

I have started this series of works during the pandemic, when external circumstances made me reflecting on topics which was close to me in my work. Both topics such as exploration of anatomical processes inside of human bodies and space exploration connected with the launch of SpaceX sparked my interest. I believe we can notice the similarities between the present time and the Renaissance or Baroque times, the time when the first medical atlases and the first astronomical studies were created. It was also interesting for me to comprehend how I react to a difficult time of a pandemic, how difficult it is for me to express my emotions in words, and therefore I expressed from a painting language that was essential for me. All my recent artworks are incorporate flowers because I combine human anatomy and fragments of Baroque Female artists artworks(who are just few). I use elements of artworks, such female artists, as Maria Van Oosterwijck, Rachel Ruysch and Artemisia Gentileschi. I am looking up at bravery and dedication of these women to art because it was very difficult and nearly impossible to succeed as an artist for women. I wanted to rethink their ideas and connect female artists these times and nowadays. I have been working on such topic as Genesis, female vulnerability and the ability for reproduction. Also, all my artworks are based on my own experience, so this series is very close to me.
