This artwork is about human memories, lives lived, encompassing nature, completing the circle of life, man as part of nature, shedding your physical self, and forest as a universe. I dried some leaves and grasses from my walks in the forest, cutting some of them into desired shapes, crumbling some of them and scattering them over the surface of my canvas. I used many thin acrylic washes, layering them with transparent gels, to invite light into the painting. Some metallic sheens add a bit of restrained sparkle to the piece. An amazing piece, it's got a lot of depth and mystery to it, the camera doesn't do it justice, its breath is beautiful and potent, the energy it emanates is quite profound. You will love this artwork's presence. The artwork is truly alive, and its layers change their colour nuances all the time depending on the amount of sunlight, shadows in the room. Ask me for additional images of this artwork at naturcycle@hotmail.com, for some reason, I'm unable to load them here. Sides painted muted green. Ready to hang.

Poetry, music, rebellion, femininity, humour and wonder of my world reveal themselves in images, both soft and hard, always mysterious, always in layers of meaning. My stories emerge like flowers opening up their petals, one at a time, as I try to bring to light all the facets of a certain moment in time, of a beautiful memory. But in the end, or in the beginning, it's all about love. I explore painting as a connection to our human vulnerability, of which love is its ultimate manifestation. https://www.instagram.com/gone_with_chinook/
