About The Artwork

"Rounding the Light" is a moving abstract painting. Bright blocks and curved planes of contrasting color are balanced with more muted, calming tones. It invites the eye to float from color to color and from shape to shape. Inspired by that particular time of day when the light is just right, it's an uplifting abstract for a contemporary space. Full size is 57H x 85W inches, leaving ample canvas (3 inches on each side) to stretch on deep stretcher bars to its 51H x 79W x 2D image as shown. It's signed on back and ships in a tube. This is especially safe for oversized works. Rolled canvas can be easily stretched (placed onto wooden stretcher bars) by a local framer.

"Artist and naturalist, I'm curious about how the land inspires awe, how we feel it deep in our bones, how to express that connection, and what we can learn from it. My process-focused work explores pattern, connection, and balance in the natural world. My investment-quality abstracts bring energy from the natural world to interior spaces." Artist and naturalist trained in studio art, graphic design, and landscape architecture, Michelle Louis' studio extends to her yard, where she nurtures an edible landscape. BA, University of Wisconsin, USA.
