ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Sage comes rolled in a tube to prevent any damage to a stretched canvas during international delivery. This is also the most cost effective method for the purchaser and artist. The painting can be stretched onto a frame by your local framer. Sage is a new botanical abstract from my 2023 'Lush' series. Using the rich myriad of rainforest inspired colours I hope to convey the energy of fleeting moments and movement in the rainforest canopies. As a child I loved to turn around and look up through the trees and watch the sky and sunlight dance through the leaves and branches. Sage is my abstract memory of a magical feeling. #dizzykid Sage is a combination of greens, blues, yellows and mustard olives and is painted on a quality 12oz canvas. There is an allowance of 1.5 inches for the painted image to wrap around the sides of the finished (stretched) painting (as shown in the image). There is a further 2 inches of canvas for stretching. All paintings are finished in 2 coats of satin lacquer for protection and longevity.
